WILLKIE FARR & GALLAGHER LICENSES INSLAW CASE MANAGEMENT SOFTWARE

The New York City law firm of Willkie Farr & Gallagher has licensed the client/server generation of INSLAW's case management software. Willkie Farr & Gallagher has been using an earlier version of INSLAW's software since the early 1980s.

The INSLAW software will support the Litigation, International Trade, Telecommunications, Trusts and Estates, Bankruptcy, and Environmental departments of the law firm. Willkie Farr plans to use the INSLAW software to schedule future actions, record and monitor docket entries, and track and monitor attorney caseloads.

The law firm also plans to use the INSLAW software in connection with its electronic filing of cases and documents in federal and state courts. This process will be handled by having the system automatically create docket entries and scheduled events from the firm's e-mail receipts from the courts for electronically filed case documents.

Henry J. Kennedy, Managing Attorney at Willkie Farr & Gallagher, explained, "Our firm has been relying on INSLAW's software for our case management needs for nearly two decades. We chose the new client/server version of the INSLAW software because of its rich functionality, reliability and ease of use."

Willkie Farr & Gallagher will operate the INSLAW software on a server equipped with the Windows NT operating system and Microsoft's SQL-Server DBMS (Data Base Management System) software.
