Nationwide Insurance Licenses
Inslaw's New Client/Server Case Management System For Claims Litigation The
Nationwide Enterprise Trial Division (NETD), which includes approximately
70 offices and nearly 800 users, will implement the new client/server
generation of INSLAW's MODULAW case management software. The new
system will operate on Microsoft Windows client computers and on
OS/2 Pentium servers, in conjunction with the Oracle7 relational
database management system.
INSLAW's
track record in delivering quality case management software designed
specifically for insurance claims litigation functions, coupled
with their ability to address our needs in a timely manner, were
among the reasons that we selected INSLAW's new client/server version,
according to Elliott A. Hannum, Nationwide's Administration &
Systems Director for NETD.
INSLAW's
President, William A. Hamilton, issued the following statement:
"The contract with Nationwide represents the first sale of the new
graphical client/server generation of INSLAW's software to the property
and casualty insurance industry, where INSLAW has a large installed
base. INSLAW's other insurance customers will be able to benefit
from the significant advantages offered by the new system."
The
functions in INSLAW's MODULAW Insurance case management software
include claims and litigation tracking, assignment tracking, outside
counsel budget and invoice tracking, offer/demand negotiation tracking,
calendar and docketing, party & expert witness indexing, timekeeping
& billing, document tracking, records/file management, ad hoc reporting,
and management reporting. INSLAW specializes in computer software
products for legal case tracking and workflow management applications.
These products incorporate advanced development tools that make
it possible to adapt the standard, off-the-shelf products to meet
customers' unique and changing requirements. INSLAW offers services
to customize its prepackaged case management software products,
but also licenses tools to enable its customers to perform their
own customization. INSLAW used an object-oriented software development
approach in the creation of the new client/server generation of
its case management software.
INSLAW's
software products are available for operation on a wide range of
platforms for the claims litigation departments and special investigation
units of major insurance companies, for corporate and municipal
law departments, and for courts, correctional facilities, prosecutors,
and other justice agencies. The INSLAW case management software
is currently licensed for over 400 sites in the U.S. and Europe.
